Building a Self-Sustaining Ranch for New Mexico’s Youth and Families
Vision of Love is committed to creating long-term, systemic change for at-risk youth, foster children, and families throughout New Mexico. While our current programs provide critical supports in financial literacy, education, community wellness, and youth development, our ultimate goal is to establish a fully self-sustaining ranch campus that transforms the way care, learning, and healing are delivered in our region.
This future ranch will serve as a comprehensive, wraparound support environment where young people and families can access stability, safety, and opportunity in one place.
Our vision includes:
A foster care and respite center that provides trauma-informed care and consistent support.
An on-site educational program that integrates traditional academics with hands-on learning, leadership development, financial literacy, and life skills.
Agriculture and animal care spaces that teach responsibility, discipline, self-sufficiency, and connection to the land.
Small family-style homes designed to support reunification efforts and strengthen family bonds.
A gym and wellness facilities to promote physical and emotional well-being for youth and families.
On-site staff housing to ensure 24/7 support and a safe, stable environment.
A fully sustainable ecosystem, including gardens, livestock, and renewable resources that reduce operating costs and increase independence.
This ranch will not simply provide shelter—it will offer a pathway to long-term growth, healing, and empowerment. Youth will gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in school, in careers, and in their personal lives. Families will have a supportive space to rebuild, reconnect, and thrive.
