Vision of Love is dedicated to revolutionizing education in New Mexico by providing innovative, impactful programs that empower students, educators, families, and entire communities. Our mission is to inspire lifelong learning, cultivate creativity, and bridge critical gaps in financial literacy, wellness, and youth development. By bringing hands-on, real-world educational experiences into schools—such as the Reality U simulation—we aim to ensure every young person is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
We believe that education should be accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for all learners. That is why we partner with schools, community leaders, and local organizations to deliver high-quality programming that supports academic success, personal growth, and long-term stability. Through this work, Vision of Love is building stronger communities and creating lasting pathways toward opportunity, empowerment, and a brighter future for New Mexico’s youth.
Reality U
Reality U addresses the urgent need for real-world education in rural northern New Mexico by providing students with essential financial literacy and life-skills training that directly influence their long-term health, wellness, and economic stability. This program promotes healthier communities, strengthens local education outcomes, and supports community development by preparing youth to make informed decisions about finances, nutrition, healthcare, housing, transportation, and career pathways. In a region with some of the lowest academic proficiency rates and highest poverty levels in the nation, Reality U bridges a critical gap, empowering students with the knowledge and confidence they need to build stable, healthy, and prosperous futures.
Adopted from Wichita, KS, Reality U is innovative and transformative as this course provides a hands-on, immersive, and personalized approach. Unlike traditional lecture-based financial literacy programs, Reality U uses a 75-minute interactive simulation that places students directly into realistic adult scenarios. Through proprietar software, each student receives a customized life profile based on their actual GPA and future earning potential. Their profile includes projected income, student loan obligations, credit card debt, family status, transportation costs, housing, expenses, and more. Students must make real financial decisions- budgeting, saving, choosing insurance, prioritizing needs vs. wants-all in a safe, engaging environment that mirrors real life.

Reality U takes on Pecos High School
On May 6, 2026, Vision of Love proudly brought the Reality U financial literacy simulation to Pecos High School, giving students an opportunity to experience real-world financial decision-making in an engaging and interactive way. Throughout the 75-minute simulation, students navigated careers, budgeting, housing, transportation, insurance, and everyday life expenses while learning how their choices today can directly impact their future tomorrow.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the incredible staff and administration at Pecos High School for welcoming our organization and supporting this important opportunity for students. We are equally grateful for our dedicated volunteers and community stakeholders who took time out of their day to help run booths, mentor students, and create meaningful conversations surrounding financial responsibility and life preparedness.
Most importantly, thank you to the students for their participation, energy, and willingness to step into real-life scenarios with open minds and positive attitudes. Watching students challenge themselves, ask questions, and think critically about their futures is exactly why we continue this work.

The El Camino Project
The El Camino Project—our 12-week leadership and personal development program designed to offer additional, ongoing support to youth beyond the classroom experience. While Reality U provides foundational financial education, The El Camino Project extends that impact by empowering young men ages 14–21 with the mindset, discipline, purpose, and community needed to succeed in school, work, and life.
Grounded in the values of identity, accountability, and emotional and physical wellness, El Camino blends mentorship, financial literacy, real-world skill-building, and character development. Each participant follows a guided pathway—El Camino, meaning “The Path”—to discover who they are, what they are capable of, and how to build a future they are proud of. Through weekly workshops, hands-on activities, community service, and intentional conversations, young men learn to lead themselves, support one another, and become positive forces in their families and neighborhoods.
Together, Reality U and The El Camino Project create a comprehensive educational ecosystem that not only teaches students about financial stability, but also provides the sustained mentorship, personal development, and emotional support they need to thrive long after the simulation ends.
